Homemade basil, pine nut and garlic pesto
There’s nothing better than the aroma of fresh basil. The aroma is an essential oil that has numerous health benefits. Being rich in the fat-soluble antioxidant beta-carotene, iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper and vitamin K it is particularly supportive for skin and bone health.

Ingredients
100g fresh basil
100g pine nuts or walnuts
pinch sea salt
juice of ½ fresh lemon
1 clove garlic
extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a blender, except the olive oil.
As soon as you begin to blend, slowly pour in the olive oil until the pesto is at the desired consistency.
