Sano supports and is exhibiting at this year’s National Social Prescribing Conference for Medical Students and Junior Doctors, is a collaboration between the College of Medicine, the Social Prescribing Network, and NHS England.
This unmissable opportunity in the heart of London brings together students from all over the UK to continue the conversation, explore the benefits of social prescribing and plan how to spread social prescribing. This is an exciting time for social prescribing. The Government’s Loneliness Strategy released last year stated that it anticipated that there will be a link worker in every GP practice by 2023. The NHS Long Term Plan has just been released which clarifies the NHS commitment to social prescribing and states that the NHS will recruit 1000 link workers this year with the aim of 900k people supported by social prescribing by 2023.
